The Kitchen.
James cooks the food you’d hope to be served at a friend’s place, if that friend had spent years in serious kitchens.
We start with good produce and treat it well. There’s plenty of technique behind every plate. You’ll taste it more than you’ll see it.
Food comes out to be shared, passed around and talked about. On Sundays, lunch will be the main event: something big carved for the table, plenty on the side, and nowhere to be afterwards.

Behind the Bar.
Most nights at Wilko’s start at the bar, and plenty end there too. Pull up a stool and say hello. You’ll be talking before your drink lands.
The wine list runs from easy-drinking bottles for a Wednesday to the ones you open when there’s something to celebrate, with some of the good stuff poured by the glass. Guinness is on tap and poured with patience. Cocktails are made to order, and if all you want is a cold beer after work, that’s a perfectly good reason to come in too.

Your New Local.
Some nights you want a proper dinner. Some nights you want a pint and a chat. Most nights you don’t want to drive into town for either.
Wilko’s is a supper house on Point Chevalier Road, made for all of the above. Three spaces, each with its own pace, and the same people looking after every one. It’s close enough to walk to, and hard to leave.
The first time you come in, we’ll be glad to see you. By the third, we’ll probably know your order.
